This year the Civil Service Squash Rackets Association is introducing a new tournament, the National Doubles, to be run alongside the Age Group Singles competition. The Age Group Event will take place on the 27th and 28th April 2012. The Doubles Event will be on the 28th April only. They will be held at Nottingham Squash Club. Age Group Event

Format

• The event will be an Age group tournament for both men and women. Players can only play in one age group.
• Age groups are as follows: Men Over 35, Men Over 45(Veteran), Men Over 55(Vintage), Ladies Over 40 (Veteran), Ladies Over 50 (Vintage).
• Players are asked to indicate their playing standard, using the England Squash grades guideline A-F, with supplementary information to assist the organisers with the draw, seeding, etc. Coaching for the lower grades may be available depending on numbers and court time.
• Matches will be the best of 5 games or 3 games, depending on format and numbers.  American or PARS (point a rally) scoring may also be used.  The tournament committee have absolute discretion to determine the most appropriate format for matches.
• Matches will be played under the Rules of the Game and England Squash approved squash balls will be provided.
• The top grade for the men’s Over 45 and Over 55 and the ladies’ Over 40 events will be playing for CSSC Veterans and Vintage squash trophies.

Accommodation

• For this event the CSSRA are making use of an arrangement that the Nottingham Squash Club has with the local Rutland Square Hotel in St James’s Street, Nottingham NG1 6FJ (Tel 0115 941 1114). This hotel has agreed a special rate for competitors (and 2011 rates have been held for 2012). Bookings should be made individually with the hotel, quoting “CSSC Squash Competition at the Nottingham Squash Club”. Rooms at these rates are available on a first come basis and at the discretion of the hotel, so early booking is advised.

Doubles Event
